Though their journeys to faith in Jesus were completely different, Goodwin and Justine both gained a heart for missions while attending their respective universities. Shortly after getting married, they joined staff with Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) and currently serve locally in Los Angeles and globally with various Cru partnerships worldwide. Both native Angelenos, Goodwin and Justine love Los Angeles and love the college students they get to work with. Along with their two children, they currently reside in the Castle Heights neighborhood of LA.

Founded right here in Los Angeles in 1951, Cru has a ministry presence in 190 countries which represent 99.6% of the world’s population. Their mission is threefold: to win students to faith in Christ, to build them up in their faith, and to send them out to reach others. Cru introduces students to Jesus through large-scale outreaches, initiative evangelism on campus, and by teaching students how to share their faith with others. They provide a community that helps students grow in their faith through conferences and retreats, small group Bible studies, and mentoring relationships. Then they send students out to live life on mission through short-term and long-term mission trips, full-time ministry opportunities, and preparing them for ministry in the workplace. Ultimately, Cru hopes to send these students out to start spiritual movements everywhere they go so that someday everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus.
