A true Angeleno, Dominique grew up in the fabled San Fernando Valley, a legendary land of malls, tract homes, and retired gaffers. Raised in a Christian home, she committed her life to Jesus after meeting a traveling evangelist who had a contagious joy which made clear how wonderful it is to know Christ. Ever since, Dominique has seen the Lord’s patience and faithfulness as she continues to learn what it means to follow Jesus in the rhythms of daily life.

Having received a master’s degree in social work from CalState Northridge (go Matadors!), Dominique worked for many years as a licensed clinical social worker, serving veterans and their families. She’s also been an aid worker in Haiti, and is the founder of one of Reality LA’s non-profit partners, We Foster LA, an organization serving children and families in the foster care system (learn more at fosterlovela.org).

Dominique first met her husband Daniel while serving together in a church youth group, and they now live in the Valley with their three kids. They first visited Reality LA because Dominique’s sister went there (though Dominique had initially written it off as a “hipster church”), and they instantly felt like it was their new church home.

In addition to continuing to run We Foster LA, Dominique is passionate about raising her kids to know and love Jesus. She wants her whole life to be in service to the Lord, and she feels closest to God when serving others. She also laughs easily, enjoys looking at architecture, and loves pretty much everything about Los Angeles except the traffic (what, LA has a traffic problem?).
